Nadya Pancheva’s production of „Oleanna“ is a directorial adaptation of David Mamet’s play, realised as an interactive theatrical event in which the audience takes an active position — not only as witness, but as accomplice in the dynamic between a professor and a student, placed in a situation of escalating misunderstanding, emotional tension and unclear responsibility. In this context, the performance becomes a platform for collective experience, in which moral and ethical questions are not posed only on stage, but are carried over to the audience as well. The viewer is called to confront questions of ethics, law and morality in the context of the contemporary educational system, given not only space for critical thinking but also the chance to take active part in the process of shaping public attitudes.
